ORLANDO - After a week away from competition, UCF men’s golf is ready to get back in the mix Monday at the West Bay Collegiate Invitational in Estero, Florida. Hosted by Florida Gulf Coast University, the Knights return to the course Oct. 5-6 at West Bay Club, with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start Monday followed by a 9 a.m. start Tuesday.
The Knights enter the weekend riding the momentum of a strong showing at the FAU Invitational, where UCF powered its way to a fifth-place finish at 6-under-par. Camden Goldknopf once again made his mark, storming up the leaderboard 16 spots from a tie for 24th after two rounds to finish tied for eighth at 6-under. The finish extended Goldknopf’s impressive start to the fall, giving him three consecutive top-10 finishes to open the season.
Now, UCF will look to keep that momentum rolling against a 15-team field on West Bay Club’s par-72, 6,939-yard layout.
The Knights return to Estero looking to build on last season’s sixth-place finish at 14-under par. Goldknopf and Hans Risvaer led the charge a year ago, both securing top-20 finishes.
