MANHATTAN, Kan. – Ainsley Moy buried the second-half equalizer to help UCF women’s soccer earn a 1-1 draw at Kansas State on Friday night in the team’s regular-season road finale at Buser Family Park in Manhattan.
With the draw, the Knights (10-4-2, 5-3-2 Big 12) locked up a top eight conference finish and a trip to the Big 12 Tournament as they now have 17 league points. K-State moved to 6-7-5 overall and 1-7-2 in league play with the result. UCF will conclude its regular season on Thursday, Nov. 5 at home against Iowa State.
The Knights had a couple of good looks in the first half but came up empty as the game stayed scoreless into the break. Naomi Clark put up four total shots in the first 45 minutes with her best chance coming in the 40th minute. Off a pass from the right side from Ella Holloran, Clark was open in the center of the six-yard box but her shot sailed just high.
Holloran followed with a shot on target just moments later, and Clark finished the half with a shot going wide left as game remained at the break.
With the Knights continuing to put the pressure on early in the second half, the Wildcats managed to strike first with a goal from Allison Marshall via a header in the box in the 58th minute.
UCF didn’t waste any time responding, however, as Moy found the back of the net with the equalizer in the 59th minute to deadlock the score at 1-1. Tyra Eriksen was key on the score, as she fed a brilliant pass from the right corner across the box to an open Moy on the far side for the strike. The goal marked Moy’s third of the season.

UCF later had a shot sail high from Holloran followed by a team save off a header from Bengoa in the 80th minute.
With both sides looking to break the tie, the Knights later had a pair of shots goal from Clark and Edidiong Etim in the 85th and 86th minutes but they were both saved. The Wildcats then got off two shots on target in the closing minutes, but they were both saved by UCF keeper Kaïna Cesar as the contest ended in the draw.
UCF outshot K-State 15-8 on the night and 6-4 on target. Clark led the way with six shots to tie for her season high.
