Women's Tennis Announces 2026 Fall Schedule

ORLANDO – Following back-to-back Big 12 regular-season championships, the UCF women’s tennis team has announced its 2026 fall schedule as head coach Bryan Koniecko and the Knights look to build on their momentum heading into the new season.

The fall season will begin in Cary, N.C., from Sept. 19-27 at the ITA All-American Championships, where select Knights will try to earn a spot in the NCAA individual championships. Meanwhile, the rest of the squad will head to the 15th annual Bedford Cup hosted by USF from Sept. 25-27. The tournament features some of the state’s top programs and players in singles and doubles competition. Olivia Bergler earned the event’s Sportsmanship Award last season.

In October, members will head to Rome, Ga., from Oct. 2-4 to compete in the Rome Tennis Center Collegiate Invite. The invitational will include select players from the universities of Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Auburn, and other collegiate tennis powerhouses. The following week, UCF will head to Miami for the ITA Southeast Regional Championships from Oct. 7-13.

Following regionals, qualifying Knights will travel to Knoxville, Tenn., for the ITA Sectional Championships from Nov. 5-8, providing another opportunity to earn a spot in the NCAA Individual Championships. The rest of the team will head to Jacksonville for the UNF Fall Invite from Nov. 6-8.

At the forefront of the returning group is graduate student Jantje Tilbuerger, who returns for her final season in the Black and Gold following a standout 2025-26 campaign. The team captain played a pivotal role in UCF’s championship run, compiling a 17-2 dual-match record and delivering six match-clinching victories. Tilbuerger capped the season with First Team All-Big 12 honors in both singles and doubles and finished the year ranked No. 122 nationally. Tilbuerger enters the season ranked No. 77 in the ITA singles rankings and No. 57 alongside Marina Gatell in the doubles.

UCF will also welcome back a group of proven contributors who played critical roles in last season’s championship run. Olivia Bergler and Jade Psonka return to provide depth and experience throughout the lineup. Psonka delivered one of the defining moments of the regular season by clinching the Big 12 title, while Bergler and the Knights’ young core continued to establish themselves as reliable contributors against one of the nation’s most competitive conferences.

The Knights will add another dimension to the roster with a talented incoming class, bringing fresh energy and competition to an already deep roster. Bringing a combination of international experience and emerging talent, the newcomers will have an opportunity to make an immediate impact while joining a program coming off consecutive Big 12 regular-season titles.
