ORLANDO - The UCF men’s golf team is ready to get the 2026-27 season underway, opening its campaign Sunday, Sept. 6, at the Island Resort Intercollegiate at Sage Run Golf Club in Harris, Michigan.

The Knights will face 54 holes over two days, playing 36 on Sunday before closing out the tournament with 18 holes on Monday. Tee times are scheduled to begin at 7:30 a.m EDT each day.

The Knights return to the tournament for the fourth consecutive season and fifth time overall. UCF joins an 11-team field that includes host South Dakota State, Michigan, St.Mary’s (CA), UCF, Miami (OH), Ball State, West Virginia, Boise State, VCU, Marquette, North Texas and Kansas City.

UCF will send eight members of the Black and Gold to the season opener, led by junior Camden Goldknopf, who looks to build on a strong first season with the Knights. Junior transfer Brodie Cunningham joined UCF after spending his first two collegiate seasons at Nebraska. The duo shared the top spot in the team’s nine-round qualifying competition at seven under par, each posting a qualifying total of 569.

Two returning Knights round out the top four, with junior Jakub Hejlek finishing the qualifying period at six over par and senior Hans Risvaer at seven over.

Freshman Zilin Gao, junior transfer Ilan Dufrenoy, sophomore Henry Dao and freshman Joshua Stephens round out the eight-man lineup representing the Knights in the season opener.

The eight-man lineup was selected by the coaching staff based on the qualifying results and additional performance data. The qualifying competition featured nine rounds, with the sixth round shortened to 12 holes because of severe weather.
