ORLANDO – UCF football will open its 2026 Big 12 Conference road slate with a noon ET kickoff on ESPN 2 at No. 25 Houston on Saturday, Oct. 3.
Out of any of its fellow Big 12 members, UCF has the most history with Houston, who the Black and Gold boast an 8-4 record against. The two programs have shared multiple conferences throughout their history and arrived in the Big 12 from the American Athletic Conference together in 2023.
The Knights have won three of the last four meetings against the Cougars, with the lone loss coming last season, spoiling UCF’s perfect record in Space Games with a 30-27 loss that came down to the final play of the contest.
Houston had its contest against No. 13 Texas Tech come down to the wire last week, needing a two-point conversion to tie. The Cougars fell just short, but have compiled victories against Oregon State and Southern to build their record to a 2-1 mark so far this season.
