ORLANDO – UCF Athletics has received a generous pledge commitment from Jon and Kate Swift in support of the Hagle Football Gateway and the transformational Roth Tower project at Acrisure Bounce House.
In recognition of their generosity to the university, the main bar inside the Tower Club on the third level of Roth Tower will be named “The Swift.” The newly constructed bar and gathering space will provide Tower Club members with a signature destination to connect and celebrate throughout UCF Football gamedays and special events.
“Jon and Kate’s commitment is another great example of the passion and loyalty that continue to drive UCF forward,” UCF Vice President and Director of Athletics Terry Mohajir said. “The Swift will be a centerpiece of the Tower Club and a place where members of Knight Nation can come together for years to come. We are grateful to Jon, Kate and their family for investing in the future of UCF Athletics.”
Jon Swift graduated from UCF in 2007 with a degree in business and has remained a passionate supporter of the university and its athletics programs.
“We’re proud to support UCF as the program continues to grow and challenge the future of college football,” Swift said. “It’s remarkable to see how far the program and university have come over the past two decades. The opening of Roth Tower represents a significant addition to the on-campus gameday experience and will further strengthen the UCF community.
“I’ve been a die-hard fan since attending UCF, and over the years, we’ve spent countless weekends traveling to away games and bowl games. The UCF community has created lifelong bonds, friendships and incredible memories for our family. I met my wife, Kate, an Ohio State graduate, after the UCF-Ohio State game, and years later, we added two more Knight fans to our family. Our youngest son’s middle name is McKenzie.
“UCF and Orlando have always inspired me with what can be achieved through vision, growth and a commitment to shaping the future. Everything we see across our community and campus was built, brick by brick, from what was once marshland. It is a testament to what thoughtful planning and hard work can accomplish.”
Swift also credits former UCF President Dr. John Hitt as a tremendous role model who helped shape his future as a young adult. Jon and Kate hope their commitment will help unleash that same potential in the next generation of UCF students.
Roth Tower will officially open when the Knights begin the 2026 season against Bethune-Cookman on Sept. 3. The four-level expansion includes 28 luxury suites, 34 outdoor Sky Suites, new loge seating and a 256% increase in usable club space for gameday and non-gameday events. The project also provides substantially more shade throughout Acrisure Bounce House and introduces new premium spaces designed to elevate the experience for fans, donors and the Central Florida business community.
