Women’s Soccer Receives United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches announced its 2025-26 College Team Academic Award winners and UCF women’s soccer was recognized for its exemplary performance in the classroom during the past academic year.

This marked the program’s 15th time in the past 18 seasons that the Knights have earned the team academic honor. To qualify, a team must hold a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. UCF made the cut after posting an impressive 3.58 team GPA in the classroom for the 2025-26 academic year.

A total of 777 college soccer teams were honored in 2025-26 across all divisions (451 women, 326 men).

The Knights were also one of 11 Big 12 institutions to make the cut.

Fresh off their first exhibition of the year at Jacksonville on Wednesday, the Knights will continue their preseason exhibition slate by hosting FGCU on Saturday, Aug. 8 at 12:00 p.m. at the UCF Soccer Complex. The Black and Gold will then officially begin their 2026 season on Thursday, Aug. 13 by welcoming in-state foe Florida to town for a 7 p.m. Opening-Knight contest.
