ORLANDO – The Golf Channel and GolfWeek announced their Women's Golf Preseason rankings ahead of the fall season on Monday, with UCF landing at No. 24 and No. 29, respectively. This is the fifth consecutive year that the Knights have appeared in the Golf Channel’s Top-30 ranking.
Last season, UCF recorded a program-record of nine top-five finishes and earned two titles, with a 5th place or higher finish in all four of its fall tournaments. The Black and Gold finished their season ranked No. 20 nationally, wrapping up the year with a sixth-place finish at NCAA Regionals in Ann Arbor.
UCF will compete in four tournaments during the fall and six in the spring before opening postseason competition at the Big 12 Championship, scheduled for April 21-23 at Las Vegas Country Club in Las Vegas.
The Knights return to the course on September 7th at the Cougar Classic at Yeamens Hall Golf Club in Charleston, South Carolina. With a roster of six returners and one newcomer, UCF enters the fall season as a veteran group looking to build on last year’s success.
