ORLANDO- Men’s golfers Lucas Dutartre, Camden Goldknopf, Jakub Hejlek, Hans Risvaer and Clemente Silva have been named Cobalt Golf/Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) All-America Scholars.
To be eligible for the award, athletes must compete in at least 50% of their teams competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I and maintain a cumulative career GPA of 3.2. Recipients must be a sophomore, junior or senior in NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA or receiving their associate degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA.
Dutartre appeared in eight tournaments, playing a total of 24 rounds during his senior season while posting a 72.41 stroke average. He secured a season-best 10th place finish at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate.
Sophomore Goldknopf appeared in 10 tournaments, playing a total of 29 rounds in his first season as a Knight while finishing with a 72.79 stroke average. The Florida native led the Black and Gold with a 71.4 first-round scoring average.
Hejlek earned this honor in his first collegiate season. The freshman appeared in seven tournaments, playing a total of 19 rounds and finished the season with a stroke average of 75.1.
Risvaer earned the honor for the second consecutive year after receiving the recognition as a sophomore. The junior appeared in all 12 tournaments, playing a total of 35 rounds while recording a team-best and career-low 71.7 stroke average.
Silva also earned the honor for the second consecutive season. The senior completed all 12 tournaments and 35 rounds, posting a 72.9 stroke average while tallying 100 birdies during the season.
