ORLANDO – Ahead of his second campaign with the Black and Gold, UCF football defensive tackle Horace Lockett has been named to the 2027 Senior Bowl Top 300.
The Senior Bowl Top 300 represents more than just a preseason watch list, it reflects the highest standards in college football. Being named to the Top 300 is a significant honor and signals that a player is viewed among the nation's premier NFL Draft prospects. Only draft-eligible players are included.
The Top 300 has consistently mirrored NFL Draft trends, with the strongest representation coming from the conferences that produce the highest number of draft picks each year. While the list is dominated by prospects from the nation's top conferences, standout players from every level of college football continue to earn recognition through their performance on the field.
Lockett played in four games with the Knights last season before suffering a season-ending injury. He left a positive impression over that span though, recording 13 tackles, eight of which were solo and three were for a loss. He tallied two of those tackles for loss and added a sack in his first game with UCF as the Knights topped Jacksonville State in the 2025 opener. He added a tipped ball that fell into the hands of Nyjalik Kelly against North Carolina, helping lift the Knights to a 34-9 victory over the Tar Heels.
