ORLANDO - In the first regular-season contest announced under first-year head coach Gabe Lazo, UCF women’s basketball will face Florida State in the 2026 WBCA Showcase, hosted at the State Farm Fieldhouse at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on Saturday, November 21 at Noon.
The Knights, who will be among seven other programs to feature in the invitational, will face the Seminoles for the 19th time in school history and first since 2011.
A premier non-conference matchup for the Black and Gold under Lazo, they will be joined by five Power Four programs at Disney, including fellow Big 12 outlet Texas Tech, along with Alabama, North Carolina, Purdue, the aforementioned Seminoles, South Florida and Florida A&M.
Similar to the Knights, Florida State is looking for a bounce back season after a 10-21 record a season ago, including a 5-13 clip in ACC contests.
UCF’s completed non-conference slate will be announced at a later date.
