ORLANDO - As a new era for the UCF women’s basketball program has arrived, with newly minted head coach Gabe Lazo and his staff having already added 11 Knights in an action-packed portal haul, a first look at his inaugural campaign has been released.
In accordance with the Big 12 Conference, on Thursday afternoon, UCF announced the 2026-27 schedule matrix, which showcases the Black and Gold’s home and away fixtures.
With nine games in Orlando and nine on the road, the 18-game slate marks the fourth for the program in the Big 12. The Knights match up with three teams, both home and away, as Cincinnati, Houston, and Texas Tech will both venture to Addition Financial Arena and host UCF this season.
While the Black and Gold traveled to play each on the road a season ago, Cincinnati is the only squad to have made the trip to Orlando last year.
The Bearcats and Cougars land on the Knights’ home-and-away list for the third time since each joined the conference in 2023-24, while the Red Raiders and UCF will compete twice in a single campaign for the first time.
As for the complete home schedule, Baylor and West Virginia join the Bearcats as the lone three teams to travel to Orlando for the second consecutive year. Four more teams make the trip to Orlando after a year hiatus to complete the nine-game slate: Arizona, Arizona State, Iowa State, and Oklahoma State.
UCF makes a trio of journeys to the Rocky Mountains, traveling to Colorado, BYU and Utah for the first time since 2024-25, while trips to Kansas and K-State, along with TCU, complete its away-only games.
Dates and times for the Knights' 2026-27 Big 12 schedule will be announced accordingly.
