ORLANDO – UCF women’s golf head coach Emily Marron has been named to the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Watch List for the 2025-26 Division I Jackie Steinmann WGCA National Coach of the Year Presented by Golf Pride, the organization announced.
Marron is one of 20 coaches nationally recognized for the prestigious honor, which is considered the highest annual coaching award in women’s collegiate golf. The recipient will be announced following the NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championship.
Under Marron’s leadership, the Knights have turned in an impressive 2025-26 campaign, recording eight top-five finishes, including tournament titles at the Illini Invitational and Lady Luck Invitational. UCF climbed as high as No. 12 in the national rankings during the season and has consistently competed among the nation’s top programs.
The Knights’ success has also been reflected individually, with three student-athletes ranked among the top 125 nationally.
The Jackie Steinmann WGCA National Coach of the Year award is presented annually to the top head coach across NCAA Division I, II, III and NAIA women’s golf.
Founded in 1983, the Women’s Golf Coaches Association is a nonprofit organization representing more than 750 women’s collegiate golf coaches across the country. The WGCA is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing its members and the student-athletes they serve while advancing the growth of women’s collegiate golf.
