Men's Basketball Announces Road Matchup at Vanderbilt for 2026-27 Season

by Jenna VanHoose

ORLANDO - UCF men’s basketball will head to Nashville on Nov. 20 for a matchup against Vanderbilt men's basketball. Tipoff time and television information will be announced at a later date.

UCF and Vanderbilt, both coming off NCAA Tournament appearances, have met on the hardwood just once, with the Commodores earning a 105-93 win in the last matchup in Orlando on Nov. 8, 2025.

The Knights will make their first trip to Memorial Gymnasium. The trip to Nashville marks the seventh consecutive season UCF has scheduled an SEC opponent. It will also mark the 10th time in 11 seasons under head coach Johnny Dawkins that the Knights have faced an SEC foe.

During the 2025-26 campaign, the Knights made the program’s sixth NCAA Tournament appearance since joining the Division I ranks in 1984-85 and earned the second at-large bid in program history. UCF finished with a 21-12 overall record, marking the second consecutive 20-win season under Dawkins. The Black and Gold recorded nine Big 12 wins, the most by a UCF team since joining the conference ahead of the 2023-24 season. The squad also tied the program record with three wins over ranked opponents: No. 17 Kansas, No. 11 Texas Tech and No. 19 BYU.

UCF’s nonconference schedule for the 2026-27 season is still being finalized. To stay up to date with Knights men’s basketball, follow the team on X, Instagram and Facebook by searching “UCFMBB.”
