ORLANDO – One of the leaders of her squad’s offensive efforts throughout the last weekend, Knights second baseman Sierra Humphreys was recognized by the Big 12 Conference for her efforts.

The junior, after hitting for an aggregate .700 average in UCF’s three contests against Utah, was awarded Big 12 Conference Player of the Week recognition, becoming the fourth Knight this season to earn a weekly honor from the league office.

Humphreys joins redshirt sophomore right-hander Isabella Vega and freshmen Hildie Dempsey and Ava Stuewe as UCF’s fourth Big 12 weekly award winner in 2026, and also garners a weekly conference honor for the first time in her career.

The second baseman made only three outs throughout the weekend, hitting .700/.727/1.300 (7-for-10) with five runs scored, two home runs, eight RBI, 13 total bases and one walk in helping lead her squad to its series win over the Utes. She hit safely in all three games, highlighted by back-to-back three-hit showings in the series’ first two contests.

She homered in both of the first two games of the series, totaling five long balls in a three-game span dating back to the Knights’ series finale at Houston March 29 and recording a three-game home run streak for the second time in 2026 (also Feb. 8-13).

Humphreys also notched back-to-back games with four RBI in the weekend’s first two contests, taking the team lead in the category with 47 through 41 games. With her two four-RBI showings, she notched at least four RBI in three straight games dating back to UCF’s last game in Houston and has now authored four four-plus-RBI games in 2026.

Through her first 41 showings, Humphreys has already set new single-season career bests in doubles, home runs, total bases and RBI, and is on pace to set new single-season career bests in average, on-base percentage, slugging percentage and runs scored as well.

She enters play against No. 23 Arizona State this weekend having hit safely in 13 of her last 15 games dating back to UCF’s series finale against then-No. 12 Oklahoma State March 8, and ranks within the top 10 in the Big 12 Conference in defensive assists, average, doubles, total hits, RBI, slugging percentage, and total bases.
