IRVING, Texas – UCF junior right-handed pitcher Camden Wicker has been named the Big 12 Conference Co-Pitcher of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday.
Wicker earned the weekly conference honor after tossing a seven-inning complete-game shutout en route to leading the Knights to a 10-0 run-rule victory at Utah on Saturday.
The Viera, Florida native tied a career-long by tossing 7.0 dominant innings in which he allowed just two hits and no runs while striking out five and walking just two. He allowed just four baserunners to reach in the contest, as he faced the minimum in three of his seven innings of work. The complete-game shutout marked the first of Wicker's career and UCF's first since April 22, 2025, when Grant Siegel tossed a seven-inning complete game at Florida Atlantic.
With the victory, Wicker is now 4-2 on the season with a 3.50 ERA. He also leads the team in strikeouts with 48 and innings pitched with 54.0.

The conference weekly honor marks the first of Wicker’s career and the second of the season for the Black and Gold, as teammate Matt Sauser was named the Big 12 Pitcher of the Week on Feb. 23.

After sweeping the Utes in Salt Lake City and going a perfect 4-0 on the road last week, the Knights return to the Sunshine State for four games this week. UCF will first face Stetson in neutral-site action on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. as part of the Tigertown Collegiate Classic at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland. Following Wednesday’s midweek, the Black and Gold will return home for a key Big 12 series against No. 19 Arizona State. The series will run Friday to Sunday at John Euliano Park and will mark a head-to-head matchup between two of the top three teams in the conference. UCF and ASU will enter the series currently tied for second place in the league standings with identical 14-7 Big 12 records.
