ORLANDO – The UCF men’s basketball team has added Lewis Walker to the 2026-27 roster, announced Friday afternoon. The All-CAA Third Team guard on North Carolina A&T posted incredible numbers as the strongest offensive weapon for the Aggies, scoring efficiently at all three scoring levels.
Standing at six-foot-six, Walker played in 29 games for the Aggies, rounding out his redshirt freshman campaign starting the last 19 games of the season. Walker led North Carolina A&T in points per game (18.9), also recording 5.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. In a college basketball year that showcased an elite freshman class, Walker finished sixth among all freshmen in scoring.
Walker posted one of the best seasons by a North Carolina A&T player in recent memory. Since 1996-97, Walker scored the second-most points in a season by an Aggie (548), fourth-highest free throw percentage (86.2%), and fifth-highest field goal percentage (50.8%).
The Winston-Salem, North Carolina native logged a remarkable 27 games in double-figures, with 12 games scoring 20-plus points. The most superb performance of Walker’s first year came against Towson, registering 33 points. Walker against Towson shot an efficient 9-for-16 from the field and 10-11 from the foul line, knocking down five three pointers while tallying seven rebounds and four assists.
Prior to playing for North Carolina A&T, Walker signed with UMass, earning his redshirt for the year. Lewis signed with UMass as a three-star recruit and the 12th ranked player in North Carolina on 247Sports.
