ORLANDO - The UCF women’s basketball team, under the direction of first-year head coach Gabe Lazo, have landed yet another talented ACC guard, as former American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year Vittoria Blasigh has officially signed for the Knights.

The Udine, Italy, native has been one of the nation’s top three-point shooters across three seasons and nearly 100 games played. Blasigh originally broke onto the scene at South Florida under current Dallas Wings head coach and mentor of Lazo, Jose Fernandez, where she claimed six AAC Freshman of the Week honors while averaging 13.5 points per game.

At Miami a season ago, the future Knight was a consistent feature off the bench, playing in 31 games while averaging over 20 minutes per contest. Blasigh averaged 6.7 points per game while downing 38.2 percent of her three pointers (47-123), adding 35 assists and 19 steals in the process.
