Jurine Named Big 12 Golfer of the Week

by Jenna VanHoose

ORLANDO Following her runner-up performance at the Lady Luck Invitational, sophmore Mila Jurine has been named the Big 12 Women's Golfer of the Week. This is the first time a UCF women's golfer has been honored with this award this season.

The sophmore from Reunion, France captured her 4th top-5 finish this season at Las Vegas Country Club after posting rounds of 76-71-68 to finish 1-under-par. She was one of three others who finished under par on the week.

She recorded 14 birdies across 54 holes and climbed 10 spots in the standings on the final day. Her consistent performance was crucial in helping the Knights capture their first win of the spring season.

This marks Jurine's first Big 12 Women's Golfer of the Week recognition and her 2nd runner-up finish this spring.

The Knights return to the course March 16 and 17 as they compete at the Briar's Creek Invitational at Briar's Creek Country Club in Kiawah S.C.
