ORLANDO – On the heels of a standout three-year tenure donning the Black and Gold, former UCF midfielder Clarence Awoudor has taken the next step in his playing career.
The Saint-Lo, France, native, after appearing in 53 matches for the UCF men’s soccer team from 2023-25, has signed his first professional deal with USL League One’s Fort Wayne FC.
Awoudor joins former teammates Anderson Rosa (Sarasota Paradise) and Lucca Dourado (Tormenta FC) as the third active Knights alum on a USL League One roster, and represents the second member of head coach Scott Calabrese’s 2025 squad to solidify their post-collegiate path after Joey Mueller was selected by New York City FC in the third round of the MLS SuperDraft 2026.
The midfielder enjoyed a career season throughout the fall, appearing in and starting each of UCF’s 21 matches while setting single-season career bests in goals (7), assists (15), shot attempts (62) and shots on goal (28).
His 15 assists represented the top mark in the nation, tied with Portland’s Diego Rosas, and set a new UCF single-season record as well.
In helping lead his squad to its 2025 Sun Belt Tournament championship, the first in program history, Awoudor also ranked among Sun Belt Conference leaders in total assists (1st), assists per game (0.71, 1st), total points (29, 3rd), points per game (1.38, 3rd), shot attempts per game (2.95, 3rd), shots on goal per game (1.33, 3rd), shot accuracy (.452, 4th), and total goals (7, T-7th).
He notched at least one point in 14 of UCF’s 21 matches, multiple points in nine contests, and at least three points twice, highlighted by his first career brace in UCF’s 3-1 win over Coastal Carolina in the squad’s regular-season home finale.
Awoudor was later named to the Sun Belt’s All-Tournament team with a goal and an assist during the tournament, scoring the Knights’ first goal of the postseason against fourth-seeded Georgia Southern before assisting Lilian Ricol’s game-winner in the tournament championship match against top-seeded No. 12 Marshall.
In the Knights’ NCAA Tournament opener at home against Florida Atlantic, Awoudor netted his second goal of the 2025 postseason and also assisted Ricol’s 59th-minute game-winner.
He concludes his collegiate career with 17 total goals in 66 matches, accompanied by 28 assists and five game-winning goals.
