ORLANDO – The No. 9 UCF men’s tennis team is gearing up for its first-ever back-to-back appearance at the ITA Indoor National Championships, opening play on February 13 against No. 19 Baylor.
The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Tuesday afternoon that the Knights earned the No. 4 seed and will face Big 12 foe No. 19 Baylor, the tournament’s fifth seed. The matchup marks the teams’ first meeting of the season and will take place Friday, February 13, at 4:30 p.m. ET at the Jim and Nell Hawkins Tennis Center.
UCF will begin its run in the opening round, with the winner advancing to the quarterfinals to take on either No. 3 Wake Forest or UC Santa Barbara. Teams that do not advance will move into the back draw.
Programs that reach the semifinals will receive a rest day before traveling to Dallas, where SMU will host the final four from February 16-17.
