ORLANDO – The UCF men’s basketball team has added Milwaukee transfer Jamichael Stillwell to the 2025-26 roster, head coach Johnny Dawkins announced Thursday. The rising senior averaged a double-double this past season, earning First Team All-Horizon League and Horizon Newcomer of the Year honors in the process.
“Jamichael is a high energy player who has a great motor. He is the ultimate competitor and his will to do what it takes to win is on another level. We’re excited for him to join our program.”
Johnny DawkinsUCF Men's Basketball Head CoachThe six-foot-eight forward’s first season at the Division I level was wildly successful, becoming the Panthers’ first player to average a double-double in program history. He did so by recording 13.0 points and 10.7 rebounds per contest, finishing the campaign with 16 double-doubles and shattering the Milwaukee record of nine for a single season.
The Atlanta native recorded five consecutive double-doubles at one point during the 2024-25 campaign, doing so from Dec. 5-29. He began the campaign with a dozen double-doubles in his first 18 contests, including scoring 14 points and pulling in 12 rebounds in Orlando against the Knights on Nov. 27, a game UCF won as part of a 9-2 run through the nonconference slate.
Stillwell shot an impressive 46.8% from the field, recording 242 of his 312 shot attempts from inside the three-point line last season. He also contributed on the defensive end, snatching 40 steals and swatting aside 12 shots.
A handful of eye-popping performances helped in Stillwell’s award-winning campaign, including hauling in a Horizon League-high 19 rebounds, 11 of which were on the offensive side of the floor, while scoring 24 points at Green Bay on Dec. 5. Additionally, he recorded 10 made field goals in a 26-point outing against Robert Morris on Jan. 19. In total, Stillwell scored double-digit points in 25 of his 31 games played.
Prior to his successful junior campaign, Stillwell spent his first two collegiate seasons at the JUCO level, suiting up with Bulter County Community College in El Dorado, Kan. his sophomore season and Miami-Dade Community College in his freshman year. He averaged 12.5 points and 10.5 rebounds at Butler County after posting 13.9 points and 8.4 rebounds in 29 contests at Miami-Dade. Before the JUCO level, Stillwell graduated from Elevation Prep after averaging 24 points and 11 rebounds as a senior.
