Women's Tennis Remains No. 17 in Recent ITA Rankings, Four Knights Feature Individually

ORLANDO - Another dominating weekend in Big 12 play for the UCF women’s tennis team maintained its position at No. 17 in the latest ITA rankings, marking the first time the Knights tallied back-to-back top-20 positions since February of 2023.

The lone 6-0 in the conference, UCF (14-1, 6-0) have outscored opponents 25-8 across a trio of weekend sweeps, tallying wins against both teams ranked ahead of the Knights in the coach’s preseason poll, while also taking care of business against four teams ranked in the top-40.

With just one loss in the squad’s first 15 matches, head coach Bryan Koniecko and the Knights are off to their best start during his tenure, sitting in a similar position to the 2002 squad who went 22-2 en route to an A-Sun title and NCAA tournament berth.

Still sitting four sports behind No. 14 Texas Tech, the Knights pace No. 23 Baylor in the top 25, with TCU, Oklahoma State, Arizona and Arizona State slotting in at positions 33 through 36.

Sophia Bioaly slotted up to No. 85 as the senior is currently riding a 10-match winning streak and remains undefeated in conference play. After moving up to court one, sophomore Olivia Lincer took care of business with straight-set victories, propelling her into the rankings for the first time in 2025 at No. 110.

Freshman Aya El Aouni remained in the singles rankings for the fourth-consecutive edition, checking in at No. 119. After a pair of top-25 doubles triumphs on court one, Lincer and Hannah Rylatt made their return to the rankings, jumping to No. 30, a strong placement for the duo who boast a 4-2 record leading the Knights this season.
