ORLANDO – As announced by the organization Tuesday, the UCF men’s soccer team saw a pair of members selected to the 2025 United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast Region First Team, in junior forward Lilian Ricol and senior midfielder Clarence Awoudor.
The honor represents the first All-Region selection for both Knights, much-deserved for the pair on the heels of their prolific 2025 fall campaigns.
Awoudor, in his final year of his collegiate career and third season with the Knights, enjoyed a career year, during which he set single season career bests in matches played (21), goals scored (7), assists (15), shot attempts (62) and shots on goal (28) en route to an All-Sun Belt First Team selection.
He started each of UCF’s 21 matches throughout the fall campaign, totaling 1,808 minutes of action while playing the full 90 minutes 17 times, including all 104 minutes of UCF’s 3-2 double-overtime Sun Belt tournament quarterfinal win over fourth-seeded Georgia Southern Nov. 9.
Awoudor’s 15 assists not only represented a new personal single-season career best, but was also good for the top mark in the Sun Belt Conference, a share for the most in the nation by a single player, and a new program individual single-season record.
The Saint-Lo, France, native also ranked among Sun Belt Conference leaders in assists per game (0.71, 1st), total points (29, 3rd), points per game (1.38, 3rd), shot attempts per game (2.95, 3rd), shots on goal per game (1.33, 3rd), shot accuracy (.452, 4th), and total goals (7, T-7th) upon the conclusion of UCF’s season.
He registered at least one point in 14 of the Knights’ 21 matches, multiple points in nine contests, and at least three points twice, and this fall netted his first career brace in leading the Black and Gold to a 3-1 win over Coastal Carolina in their regular-season home finale.
Awoudor also earned a spot on the Sun Belt Conference’s All-Tournament team with a goal and an assist during the conference tournament, netting the Knights’ first of three goals in their comeback win over the Eagles and assisting Ricol’s game-winner in the championship match against (3) then-No. 12 Marshall.
