ORLANDO – A trio of UCF women’s soccer players were named to the 2025 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's All-Midwest Region Teams as announced by the organization on Tuesday.

Senior forward Liz Worden led the way by being named to the All-Midwest Region Second Team, while junior midfielder Honoka Hamano earned third team honors and senior forward Rajanah Reed was tabbed to the fourth team.

This marks the first time in the careers for all three Knights for earning esteemed All-Region accolades.

Worden paced the group by being named to the second team after being the Black and Gold’s top point scorer on the season with 24 points. The striker finished one goal shy of the team-lead with seven goals and led the way in assists with 10. Her double-digit tally of assists marked the most from a Black and Gold player since 2014 when Tatiana Johnson recorded 11. The Riverside, California native also fronted the Knights in total shots (56) and tallied points in 12 of the Knights’ 21 matches. She was instrumental in the team’s success as she played and started all 21 matches during the 2025 campaign.

Worden previously earned First Team All-Big 12 honors last month and Second Team All-Big West honors while playing for Long Beach State in 2024.

Hamano received third team recognition for her dynamic play in the midfield all season long. The native of Tokyo, Japan finished second on the squad in assists with six. She was also third in both goals scored with four and total points with 14, which all marked single-season career highs. She also set new personal records in shot percentage (.182), shots on goal (10), shot on goal percentage (.455), and game-winning goals (3). She also played well down the stretch for the Knights with five assists or goals in her last seven games. In all, Hamano played in all 21 matches and started 19 of those contests for the Knights.

Hamano was named Second Team All-Big 12 last month. She previously earned a spot on the 2023 AAC All-Rookie Team during her freshman year at Memphis.

Reed capped her collegiate career by earning fourth team all-region accolades after being UCF’s top goal scorer on the year. The senior forward led the Black and Gold with eight goals, which included an impressive tally of six game-winners. She also assisted in three more goals on the season and paced the team in shots on goal with 30. Reed set career highs in nearly every statistical ranking, as she started 18 matches, scored eight goals, assisted three times, tallied 19 points, 53 shots, 30 shots on goal, posted a shot on goal percentage of .566, scored six game winners, and played 1302 minutes. The Glendale, Arizona native had a strong final month of the season by notching seven goals or assists in the Black and Gold’s final eight matches.

The honor comes on the heels of Reed’s Second Team All-Big 12 recognition last month.

The 2025 All-Region recognition marked the fifth straight season that UCF has had at least one honoree make the cut as well as the ninth time in the last 10 seasons under head coach Tiffany Roberts Sahaydak.

Worden, Hamano, Reed, and the Knights had a strong 2025 campaign in which they went 12-4-5 overall, placed sixth in the Big 12 Conference with a 5-1-5 league record, and qualified for the program’s 23rd appearance in the NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Championship. The Black and Gold earned the No. 7 seed for their bracket and went 1-1 in the NCAA Tournament with a 2-0 first-round victory over Maine before having their 2025 postseason run come to a close with a 1-0 setback at the second-seeded and current NCAA College Cup Semifinalist Duke Blue Devils.
