Holiday Hoops at Home

ORLANDO – UCF men’s basketball is hosting a one-of-a-kind holiday experience, debuting a “Nauty or Knights” theme as part of a hoops doubleheader on Dec. 20. It will be the final time in 2025 that fans can catch the Knights at Addition Financial Arena before the calendar flips to the new year.

The men's basketball team is off to its best start under head coach Johnny Dawkins sitting at 8-1 with three non-conference games to go before opening Big 12 play against No. 19 Kansas Jan. 3. The home Big 12 slate begins with marquee matchups against Cincinnati (Jan. 11), No. 1 Arizona (Jan. 17), Arizona State (Jan. 27) and No. 16 Texas Tech (Jan. 31). The Knights wrap up their non-conference slate with Mercer (Dec. 17) and FGCU (Dec. 20) at home before playing a neutral site game against Florida Atlantic (Dec. 23).

The women get the holiday spirit going with their final non-conference game of the season, hosting the Teddy Bear Toss & Ugly Sweater Game on Dec. 14 at 2 p.m. vs. Morgan State. Fans can bring teddy bears to the game to toss onto the court at halftime.

The women open the Dec. 20 doubleheader, hosting BYU to begin Big 12 Conference play. Fans at the game are encouraged to wear white to begin the full day of festivities.

The men’s team will wrap the doubleheader with a contest against in-state foe FGCU at 5 p.m., unleashing the brand mashup of both the Knights and Citronauts. The “Nauty or Knights” theme launches for the men’s game and will bring a mix of mascots, specialty concession items and a limited-edition Knights or 'Nauts Holiday T-shirt giveaway, available on a first come- first served basis, while supplies last. The day is a chance for fans to break out their Black and Gold or Canaveral Blue all at once, celebrating both UCF’s primary and alternate identities.
