ORLANDO - Following a strong fall campaign, newcomer Wissam Abderrahman closed the year ranked No. 59 in the final ITA standings of 2025.
Abderrahman competed in three tournaments during the fall including the Carolina Classic, UCF Invitational and ITA Southeast Regionals.

He opened the season at the Carolina Classic, earning his first win as a Knight in the quarterfinals after a first-round bye. Abderrahman defeated his opponent from the host school in South Carolina’s Charlie Swaine, 4-6, 6-2, 6-2, before falling to newly ranked No. 106 Max Stenzer in the semifinals.
On home courts at the USTA National Campus, the Paris native impressed with three wins at the UCF Invitational. On day one, he cruised past Stetson’s Marc Saura, 6-0, 6-3. He followed with a hard-fought victory the next day over FAU’s Mark Havlicek, 6-2, 4-6, 10-7, and capped the event by defeating then-No. 32 Hugo Car of USF, 7-6, 6-3.
Abderrahman and the Knights will return to action in the spring, opening their dual-match schedule with a doubleheader on January 11 against FGCU and Louisiana at the USTA National Campus.
