Knights in the NFL: Week 11

by Ava Jessum

ORLANDO - The NFL wrapped up week 11, and among the action were standout displays of skill and notable returns to the field from UCF alumni.

As the Bills prepared to take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a familiar face joined the offensive lineup. Wide receiver Gabe Davis was back in action on Sunday and gave a strong showing in his first outing of the season.

Davis totaled 40 yards on three receptions, appearing anything but rusty in his 2025 debut. Reflecting on his return, Davis said he was “Happy to be back here, this is my most comfortable I have been playing, and I'm just glad that I got that Bills jersey on again."

Bills kicker Matt Prater had another successful week, going 5/5 on extra points. In the 3rd quarter with the Bucs leading 26-21, Prater nailed a 39-yard field goal that brought momentum back into the Buffalo offense. The Bills went on to defeat Tampa Bay 44-32, with Prater responsible for eight points on the board.

Another UCF alumni made their first appearance of the season as well. Wide receiver Jacoby Jones took the field with the Commanders in Madrid as they geared up to face the Dolphins. Though the Commanders fell 13-16, Jones had a reception for 25 yards late in the 4th that boosted momentum for Washington as the game headed into overtime.

Meanwhile in Arizona the 49ers emerged victorious, going 41-22 against the Cardinals while on the road. Defensive tackle Kalia Davis had two tackles, including one solo stop. Davis has been consistent in his performance so far this season.

In an exciting turn of events, veteran kicker Matthew Wright signed with the Texans as a fill-in kicker for an injured Ka’imi Fairbairn. In the Texans game against the Titans, Wright gave a flawless performance, going 3/3 on field goals and 1/1 on extra points. Wright put up 10 points for the Texans and kicked the game winning field goal for the Texans to win 16-13.
