ORLANDO – UCF redshirt sophomore defender Jada Silvest has been named to Top Drawer Soccer’s Midseason Top 100 Player Rankings as announced by the organization.
Silvest has been key from UCF’s backline on the season, as the center back has played and started in all 12 matches for the Knights. She has been instrumental in leading the Black and Gold to five shutouts on the year, which included two last week—with a 2-0 victory over Utah and a 0-0 draw with Kansas State. The native of Land O' Lakes, Florida, checks in at No. 80 on the list.
Silvest has logged the second-most minutes for the Black and Gold on the campaign, as she has been on the pitch for 1,068 of the team’s possible 1,080 minutes.
Offensively, Silvest has tallied an assist on the season as well as seven shots with four of those being on target. She has also helped UCF currently hold an 8-2-2 overall record and a 2-1-2 conference clip to sit in sixth place in the league standings.
The list spotlights the top 100 performers of the campaign so far, measuring their minutes on the field, statistical achievements, and, most notably, their influence on winning. The ranking includes sophomores, juniors, and seniors.
Silvest is one of 14 players from the Big 12 Conference to be recognized on the list.
Silvest and the Knights will hit the road this weekend for a Sunday matinee at Cincinnati. The Big 12 contest will begin at 12 p.m. from UC’s Gettler Stadium and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
