Homecoming Kickoff vs. West Virginia Set for 1 p.m. on TNT

by Ken Landis

ORLANDO – Rubber ducks will be flying and the sun will be shining during homecoming week for UCF football, as the Big 12 Conference and its TV partners announced a 1 p.m. kickoff on TNT for the Knights’ Oct. 18 contest vs. West Virginia. The broadcast will be a simulcast on truTV and HBO MAX.

The contest will be the fifth home game of the 2025 slate as UCF has compiled a 3-1 record at Acrisure Bounce House this season. The Black and Gold will be seeking their first win against the Mountaineers in the fifth all-time meeting. It’s the third straight season the Knights face West Virginia.

The Knights and Mountaineers began the 2025 campaign as one of 30 FBS programs with a new head coach. Frost and West Virginia’s Rich Rodriguez are the only pair of FBS head coaches to have coached at a school, leave, and return as head coach again for another tenure. The Mountaineers were victorious in this season’s edition of the Backyard Brawl, beating Pitt 31-24 in overtime. Despite the big victory, West Virginia sits at 2-4 this season and have a bye this weekend before traveling to Orlando to face the Knights.
