Men's Golf Concludes Shortened Florida Atlantic Invitational

Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. — Despite challenging conditions and a trimmed format, the UCF men’s golf team stayed composed throughout the Florida Atlantic Invitational, placing in a tie for 12th amongst a competitive field.

With the second round suspended in the later stages on Monday afternoon, the tournament directors decided to finish the round on Tuesday morning and cancel the third round.

UCF shot 586 (+10) through two rounds, with a three-over-par second round keeping them firm on the team leaderboard.

Hans Risvaer delivered one of UCF’s strongest performances, opening with a 69 (three-under-par) before following it up with a steady 74 (two-over-par) to finish at 143 (one-under-par) and secure 19th overall.

Alongside him, Camden Goldknopf provided the consistency the Knights have come to rely on, carding rounds of 71 (one-under-par) and 73 (one-over-par) for a total of 144 (even). While playing as an individual, the sophomore placed 25th to highlight UCF's presence at the top of the leaderboard.

Lucas Dutartre carded a score of 70 (two-under-par) in the second round to move into 32nd place, shifting his tournament total to 145 (one-over-par). In line with multiple outings this season, Chase Haygood found his stride in the second round, shooting a 71 (one-under-par) to remain among the top-40 on the leaderboard.

Clemente Silva (152, +8) and Jakub Hejlek (153, +9) rounded out the field for the Black and Gold.
