ORLANDO – The UCF cross country team closed out the regular season strong with eight of the nine competing Knights finishing in the top 100.

Sophomore transfer, Alexandra Raquet, secured yet another PR with a 6k time of 20:45.77. The mark was good enough for an eighth-place finish, the first member of the Black and Gold to earn a top ten finish this season.

Raquet's impact on the program continues to grow as well. Her time of 20:45.77 now ranks as the ninth-fastest in program history. Although it’s ninth in times, Raquet’s performance actually makes her the second fastest woman in the books, with the latter times all belonging to Anne-Marie Blaney.

Similarly, Yvone Sandui continues her impressive campaign, tying her personal-best 6k time of 21:33.50 to earn a 43rd-place finish.

Ava Quattrocchi was the next Knight to cross the finish line at 58th, turning in a personal 6k record of her own with a time of 21:42.93. Senior Paige Jaszczak followed closely, finishing 71st at the 21:54.71 mark.

Madison Patchan joined the day’s personal-best club as well, clocking in at 22:07.49. Right on her heels was Riley Jaszczak, coming across the finish at 22:09.67. The duo finished 90th and 91st, respectively.

Kendall Hughes (22:12.17) and Bailey McClain (22:17.04) rounded out the Knights’ group of top-100 finishers in the red race, taking the 93rd and 97th slots.

Freshman Daisy Ross posted a solid debut in her first collegiate 6k, finishing 128th with a time of 22:48.53.

As for the white race group, Penelope Sosa held her own, finishing 10th with a time of 22:30.15. While Masha Dorofeev (23.11.03) and Abby Clements (23.35.09) rounded out the Knights racing in this heat, finishing 39th and 53rd, respectively.
