ORLANDO – After helping their squad to one of its most crucial wins of the 2025 campaign, a pair of Knights have been recognized by the Sun Belt Conference for their efforts.
Senior midfielder Clarence Awoudor and senior goalkeeper Juanvi Muñoz have swept the Sun Belt’s weekly awards, garnering respective conference Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors after the UCF men’s soccer team shut out then-No. 11 Georgia Southern, 3-0, Oct. 10.
The weekly honors mark the first two bestowed to the Knights this season and mark the second time since the program joined the Sun Belt Conference that the Black and Gold have won both awards in the same week.
Awoudor earns his first career weekly conference recognition after facilitating two of the Knights’ three scores against the Eagles, recording assists on goals by Lilian Ricol and Claudel N’goubou.
His effort represented his second consecutive multi-assist match and his fourth such showing of the season, pushing his season assist total to a new personal single-season career high nine.
Awoudor now enters Tuesday night’s action against Bradley the national leader in both total assists and assists per game (0.90) and ranks among conference leaders in shots per game (2.60, 4th), points per game (1.30, T-5th), and total points (13, T-6th).
