Noon Kickoff Announced for UCF at Cincinnati on FS1 Oct. 11

by Ken Landis

ORLANDO – UCF football’s upcoming road trip to Cincinnati on Oct. 11 will be a noon kick on FS1.

The Knights will face a familiar foe, rematching with the Bearcats for the 11th straight season, dating back to 2015 when the two sides met for the first time as part of The American. The Black and Gold have won two of the last three contests, one each on the road and at home. The last three meetings have been decided by a combined 12 points.

UCF opened its third Big 12 campaign with a 34-20 loss at Kansas State. The Knights have opened on the road in each Big 12 slate thus far, including twice in Manhattan against the Wildcats. UCF continued its trend of holding opponents scoreless in the first quarter but couldn’t fend Kansas State off at the final whistle.

Cincinnati is fresh off a victory against UCF’s opponent this week, building a buzzer-beating drive to top Kansas 37-34. The Bearcats dropped their season opener against Nebraska 20-17, a neutral site contest in Kansas City Mo. at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium. In addition to the win over the Jayhawks, Cincinnati earned victories against Bowling Green and Northwestern State.
