ORLANDO – In accordance with the Big 12 Conference, the UCF men’s basketball team released its conference schedule on Tuesday. The slate features 18 league games, highlighted by an early January date with Kansas to begin the home conference schedule for the third consecutive year. The Knights also will host two programs for the first time and traveling to one new destination.
The nine teams the Knights will host have punched 49 tickets to the NCAA Tournament over the last decade. Kansas leads the way with nine appearances in the last 10 seasons with Baylor boasting eight and Arizona and Texas Tech reaching March Madness seven times.
All times and TV designations for conference games will be announced at a later date. The Black and Gold will host the Jayhawks to kick off conference play on Saturday, January 3. It will be UCF’s lone meeting with Kansas this season.
After opening with the Jayhawks, the Knights will then head out on the road to Stillwater, Oklahoma for a tilt against Oklahoma State on Tuesday, January 6.
UCF returns to Orlando to host Cincinnati on Sunday, January 11. The matchup marks the fourth straight season with a home matchup against the Bearcats.
Another road trip will take the Black and Gold to Kansas State for a midweek matchup against the Wildcats on Wednesday, January 14.
The Knights return to the City Beautiful to host Arizona on Saturday, January 17 in the Wildcats’ first-ever visit to Orlando.
UCF travels to Iowa State on Tuesday, January 20, the matchup will feature the second consecutive season the Knights have traveled to Hilton Coliseum. The Black and Gold will then extend their road trip with a Saturday clash at Colorado on January 24.
The Knights close out January with a two-game homestand, hosting Arizona State on Tuesday, January 27 and Texas Tech on Saturday, January 31.
UCF travels to NCAA Tournament Runner-Up, Houston, on Wednesday, February 4. UCF continues its road trip with a trip to Ohio as Cincinnati welcomes the Knights on Sunday, February 8.
The Knights will take a six-day hiatus from game play and pick things back up with a two-game homestand starting with West Virginia on Saturday, February 14 followed by TCU on Tuesday, February 17.
UCF will unlock a new location with a trip to Salt Lake City, Utah, on Saturday, February 21 as Utah hosts the Knights at the Jon M. Huntsman Center. The Black and Gold continue their trip in the Beehive State with a meeting against BYU on Tuesday, February 24.
The Knights will wrap up their home schedule with two games as they host Baylor on Saturday, February 28 followed by Oklahoma State on Tuesday, March 3.
UCF will then close out its regular season in Morgantown, West Virginia, against the Mountaineers on Friday, March 6.
The Big 12 champion will again be crowned in T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, taking place this year from March 10-14.
