ORLANDO – The UCF men’s basketball team officially opened practice Monday morning inside Addition Financial Arena, as 10th-year head coach Johnny Dawkins and his staff turned the page to Year Three in the Big 12 Conference.
The Knights enter the 2025–26 campaign with a refreshed look, welcoming more than 10 newcomers to the program, including a mix of highly touted freshmen and experienced transfers. The new group joined returners on the main game floor for the first practice session, marking the start of preparations for a challenging schedule in one of the nation’s premier leagues.
UCF’s slate features 30 regular-season contests, highlighted by the demanding 18-game Big 12 schedule, in addition to two exhibitions against Power Four opponents that will provide early tests for the new-look roster.
