ORLANDO - Head UCF baseball coach Rich Wallace has announced that UCF baseball will be taking a trip down to Key West to face off against FIU in a fall exhibition next month.

The fall game against the Panthers will take place at Rex Weech Field in Key West on Oct. 11 at 7:30 p.m. The contest will mark a homecoming for redshirt freshman pitcher Anthony Lariz. Lariz hails from Key West, Florida, and is a graduate of Key West High School.

FIU finished its 2025 season with a 31-27 overall record and capped its spring campaign with a visit to the 2025 CUSA Tournament. The last time the Black and Gold faced off against Florida International was May 5, 2009, during a regular season, midweek matchup at John Euliano Park, in which the Panthers won 7-4. FIU currently leads the all-time series 52-42.

The Knights finished their 2025 campaign with a 29-26 overall record and a 9-4 record against Sunshine State opponents.

The Knights’ full fall 2025 schedule is expected to be announced in the coming weeks, while the spring 2026 schedule will be announced in the coming months.
