Knights in the NFL: Week 2

ORLANDO - Week two of the 2025 NFL season brought 16 different matchups to the forefront. Amidst the chaos, several former Knights gave strong performances on the field.

Buffalo Bills kicker Matt Prater continued his momentum from week one, converting all three field goals in the Bills game against the Jets. Prater’s highlight of game two came when he completed a 52 yard field goal that extended the Bills lead 13-0. This feat marked the 82nd 50-plus-yard field goal of Prater’s career—a new NFL record. The seasoned veteran has had a history of successful long kicks, scoring his first 50+ yard field goal in 2008 with the Denver Broncos.

In Denver, running back RJ Harvey accumulated five carries in Sunday's matchup against the Colts. The rookie caught one of two targets for 16 yards.

On the defensive front, San Francisco 49ers tackle Kalia Davis also had an exciting week. Davis recorded two tackles and successfully clogged up the middle, making it difficult for the Saints to run the ball up the middle. The 49ers emerged victorious in New Orleans, with a score of 26-21.

Rounding out UCF’s league presence, alumni Mike Hughes wasted no time making an impact against his former team, the Minnesota Vikings. Hughes secured two solo tackles for the Falcons, helping them achieve their first win of the season. The cornerback was originally drafted by the Vikings in the first round of the 2018 NFL draft.
