ORLANDO - For the second season in three years, the UCF women's basketball team will spend its Thanksgiving in San Juan, Puerto Rico, announcing its return to the Discover Puerto Rico Shootout at the Coliseo Guillermo Angulo from November 26-28.
The Knights will be one of nine programs to venture to the Caribbean Island, joining fellow Power Four programs Wake Forest, Kentucky and Maryland, along with Morgan State, Rice, East Carolina, Illinois State and Hofstra.

- Wednesday, November 26: East Carolina vs. UCF
- Thursday, November 27: UCF vs. Wake Forest
- Friday, November 28: Rice vs. UCF
In 2023, UCF dominated the field during its first trip to San Juan, besting Jackson State, St. John's and Sacred Heart by a combined 193-160. The tournament preceded the Knights' first Big 12 slate as newly minted conference members.
A familiar opponent will meet the Knights to open action on Nov. 26, as East Carolina and UCF will face off for the first time since 2023 when the two programs were conference mates in The American.
Before the Knights will be able to enjoy their Thanksgiving activities on Nov. 27, they’ll play Wake Forest for the first time in nearly two decades before capping off their action-packed week with Rice on Nov. 28. The Owls are coming off an improbable run to the American Conference Championship title match after upsetting multiple teams as the ninth seed.
