by Alex Clough

CINCINNATI - UCF Men’s Golf opened its 2025-26 season on a high note and is now setting its sights on taking on one of the toughest early challenges at the Bearcat Invitational. The two-day tournament from September 15-16 will be held at the pristine Coldstream Country Club.

UCF will face a multi-team field against strong teams such as Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio State, TCU, Iowa State and hosts Cincinnati.

The Coldstream Country Club is an 18-hole par-71 golf course, boasting 7,081 yards of play. A 36-hole Monday (shotgun start) will precede the final 18 holes on Tuesday.

Just under two weeks ago, the Knights commenced their 2025 campaign with a strong debut outing at the Island Resort Collegiate. Clemente Silva led UCF to a seventh-place finish at the tournament with a seven-under-par showing, while Hans Risvaer and Chase Haygood found their footing over the final two rounds.

UCF was at its best during the second round, carding a 270 (-18), the best single round on a par-72 course in over a year.  Risvaer (-4), Hejlek (-3) and Haygood (-2) joined Silva with under-par performances as the squad shot an 842 across the three days.
