Women’s Soccer Earns United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The United Soccer Coaches announced its 2024-25 College Team Academic Award winners and UCF women’s soccer was recognized for its exemplary performance in the classroom during the past academic year.

This marked the program’s 14th time in the past 17 seasons that the Knights have earned the team academic honor. To qualify, a team must hold a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. UCF made the cut after posting an impressive 3.60 team GPA in the classroom for the 2024-25 academic year.

A total of 721 college soccer teams were honored in 2024-25 (across all divisions), with UCF being one of 161 institutions to have both its women’s and men’s programs recognized.

The Knights were also one of nine Big 12 schools to make the cut.

Fresh off their first exhibition of the year on Sunday, the Knights will continue their preseason exhibition slate by taking on Miami in Coral Gables on Friday at 2:30 p.m. The Black and Gold will then officially begin their 2025 season on Thursday, Aug. 14 at 8 p.m. ET at UAB. UCF’s 2025 home opener will then come on Sunday, Aug. 17 at 6 p.m. against in-state foe Florida Atlantic.
