ORLANDO - With the 2025-26 campaign under 20 days away, junior Clemente Silva will journey back to Orlando with an abundance of confidence after the Chilean claimed the title at the IPD Cup Golf Open.

A premier tournament in South America, Silva authored a steady performance throughout the event, capping the weekend off with a 71 on Sunday to pull away from Argentina’s Ary Rodriguez.

It really means a lot. I had never won outside of home, outside of Chile. I had been in the final group several times in the U.S. and South America, but I couldn’t close it out, so this means a lot. I was nervous at the end, but that’s normal, and I handled it really well

Having shot four-under-par over three rounds, the Knight was the lone competitor to finish under par, tallying scores of 70, 71 and 71.

The triumph marks the first victory outside of his native country, Chile, and is the result of the dedication Silva put in this summer. Held at a demanding La Planicie Country Club, Silva kept his composure down the wire to secure the win as the only Chilean in the field.

With multiple top-five finishes throughout the 2025 season, the Knight finally knocked the door down. A strong mentality amidst a stacked field, each vying to surpass him, propelled him to the prize.

Silva and the Knights get their fall slate underway on August 31 as they embark on the Island Resort Collegiate in Harris, Michigan.
