Three Men's Golfers Tabbed Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars

ORLANDO - UCF men’s golf’s Hans Risvaer, Clemente Silva and Jakob Stubhaug have been named Cobalt Golf/Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) All-America Scholars, the organization announced Thursday.

To be eligible for Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar nomination, an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate’s degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA.

In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team’s competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 76.0 in NCAA Division I, under 78.0 in NCAA Division II, under 79.0 in NCAA Division III, under 78.0 in NAIA, and under 77.0 in NJCAA, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university.

Risvaer led the trio with a 73.0 stroke play average during the 2024-25 season, headlined by an eigth-place finish at the Tarheel Intercollegiate. 

Silva tallied a 74.8 average during his junior campaign, where he recorded two top five finishes with a season best third place at the Daytona Beach Intercollegiate. His other top five finsh came at the ECU Intercollegiate with a score of 217 (+1) to help propel the Knights to first place in the team standings. 

Stubhaug compiled a 74.1 scoring average for UCF last season to earn his first All-America Scholar selection. His best finish of the season came in the Mobile, Alabama at the Mobile Bay Intercollegiate, logging a 210 (-3) while competing as an individual to finish tied for 10th.
