UCF Athletics Sets All-Time Fundraising Records

ORLANDO, Fla. – UCF Athletics is proud to announce an all-time high in fundraising, continuing its upward trajectory with an unprecedented $52.8 million in cash and commitments for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025. The record-setting total was achieved through the generosity of more than 13,206 donors, 467 Shareholders Society donors and 579 Varsity Knights members, marking the fourth consecutive year UCF has surpassed $40 million in annual fundraising commitments for the Charge On Fund.

This milestone reflects the growing momentum behind UCF’s bold vision for the future of college athletics. In March 2022, the Knights launched Mission XII, a comprehensive initiative aimed at boosting the department’s operating budget and transforming the Kenneth G. Dixon Athletics Village with state-of-the-art facilities for competition, training, and operations.

“Our continued growth in fundraising is a clear indication that our donors and alumni believe in our compelling vision of competing for championships in the Big 12 and on the national stage,” said Terry Mohajir, UCF Vice President and Director of Athletics. “This surge in donor and philanthropic support will yield dividends for our student-athletes both on and off the field. I especially want to thank our outstanding Charge On Fund staff and external team for their tireless efforts and commitment in pushing us forward. Their dedication has been instrumental in reaching this historic benchmark.”

While this milestone marks a significant achievement, UCF leaders recognize the journey is constantly ongoing. Despite the record-breaking support, UCF acknowledges there is still ground to make up on their Big 12 peers and remains focused on closing that gap. The continued push for sustained success will require relentless effort, strategic growth, and unwavering support from the entire UCF community.

“I’m incredibly proud of our entire team for their relentless work, commitment, and belief in what we’re building here at UCF,” said Mark Wright, Deputy Athletics Director and Associate Vice President. “This accomplishment is a testament to the passion and dedication of our staff, as well as the belief from our wonderful donors. There’s still much work ahead to fully close the gap with our conference peers and sustain success at the highest level. But moments like this remind us that we’re on the right path.”

Since Mohajir’s arrival in 2021, UCF Athletics has seen remarkable growth in self-generated revenue across multiple verticals, including charitable giving, naming rights, ticket sales, corporate partnerships, licensing and commercial business. The department’s operating budget has nearly doubled, rising from $64 million in FY20 to $121 million for FY26.

Capital investments have also accelerated under this vision. To date, more than $130 million has been committed to facility enhancements, including a new Roth Tower at Acrisure Bounce House, set to open ahead of the 2026 football season, and $30 million dedicated to the transformational Hagle Football Gateway.

“UCF has a unique opportunity ahead,” added Mohajir. “As we come to the end of the beginning, we are poised to fully participate in revenue sharing. With a continued entrepreneurial spirit and aggressive approach to generating resources, our future is exceptionally bright.”
