Women's Golf Wraps Up Season at NCAA Regionals

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The UCF women’s golf team wrapped up its season on Wednesday at the NCAA Charlottesville Regional in seventh place with a team score of 882 (+30) at Birdwood Golf Course.

South Carolina won the regional outright with a team score of 850 (-2), marking the lone team to finish under par. Ole Miss, Virginia, Florida and UCLA join the Gamecocks in advancing to the NCAA Championship at the Omni Resort in Carlsbad, California.

Molly Smith led the Black and Gold, earning her fifth top-10 finish of the season as she carded a 73 in the final round of the tournament to finish tied for ninth place. The sophomore started the day with a birdie on hole No. 1 and sank two more on holes 11 and 12.

Mila Jurine turned in a third-round score of one over 72 and finished T28. The freshman rounded out her rookie campaign with a birdie on hole No. 18 and added two more on the day.

One Kashima subbed in for Katie Poots in the final round of the tournament. Kashima carded a 72 (+1) with back-to-back birdies to finish the day on holes 17 and 18.

Pimpisa “Sandwich” Sisutham notched a 74 (+3) and finished the 54-hole tournament with a 224 (+11), T32. The junior ranked second in the field on par 3s, averaging a 2.87.

Jamie Camero rounded out the Knights lineup with a 75 (+4) and finished T32 with a final score of 224 (+11).

As a team, the Knights finished fourth with 36 birdies.
