ORLANDO – The Big 12 Conference has announced the times and network designations for the first three weeks of the 2025 football season, per its Thursday afternoon release.
UCF opens the 2025 campaign with a 7 p.m. kickoff on Thursday, Aug. 28, against Jacksonville State on ESPN+. It will be the first of three consecutive home games for the Black and Gold over the first four weeks of the season. In Week Two, the Knights will kick off at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 6, also on ESPN+, as they host North Carolina A&T.
The Knights’ contests against Jacksonville State and North Carolina A&T will mark the first time facing either program.
UCF will be aiming for a 10th consecutive season-opening victory, a streak that began during head coach Scott Frost’s first tenure with the Knights in 2016. All but one of the Knights’ season-opening wins during the nine-game stretch were decided soundly, with the Black and Gold winning by 28 points or more.
Coach Frost enters his second tenure at UCF seeking his 14th consecutive victory, following a perfect 13-0 season in 2017 that concluded with a 34-27 win No. 7 Auburn squad in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.
A victory in the first game of the second Coach Frost era would mark the 300th win in program history.
