ORLANDO - A co-share of the Big 12 regular season title and a trip to the Championship finals highlighted the UCF women’s tennis team’s jump to No. 19 in the latest ITA rankings, marking the eighth week among the top-20 this season.
After disposing of BYU in the quarterfinals, the Knights prevailed in a dramatic 4-3 semifinals contest with No. 17 Oklahoma State, the second win over the preseason favorites in 2025. Sophomore Olivia Lincer was down four match points after digging herself out of a 4-1 deficit in the third set, clinching the win over the Cowgirls to punch UCF’s ticket into the title match.
While the Knights fell in the final stage to No. 15 Texas Tech, their resume continues to showcase their strong presence among the top 25.
Olivia Lincer (103) and Sophia Biolay (106) headline the Knights’ presence in the singles rankings, as the duo went a combined 4-0 across six contests this weekend. The latter went undefeated on court three this past weekend, outscoring opponents 36-15 in a trio of straight-set triumphs.
Lincer on the other hand served as the hero in UCF’s semi finals victory over the Cowgirls, defeating Melisa Ercan in the sophomore’s most iconic collegiate result to date.
The Polish native also featured in the doubles rankings alongside Hannah Rylatt, checking in at No. 44 after tallying an impressive win over BYU in the quarterfinals on court one.
