HOCKLEY, Texas – In the third and final day at the Big 12 Championship, the UCF women’s golf team rounded out the tournament in 9th place with a team score of 899 (+47).
Arizona came away with the Big 12 championship title after a three team playoff against Arizona State and Oklahoma State.
Pimpisa “Sandwich” Sisutham turned in a 74 (+3) and ended the tournament with a 218 (+5) which puts her in 12th place in the player leaderboard. The Thailand native tallied two birdies on the day and led the round off with three consecutive pars.
Molly Smith recorded a 76 (+5) to finish in 25th place with a three-round score of 222 (+9). A birdie on hole No. 13 ignited Smith as she went on to go bogey-free through the remainder of the holes.
Katie Poots subbed in for One Kashima for the final round and posted a 76 (+5). She tallied back-to-back birdies on holes three and four.
Jamie Camero carded a 77 (+6) and ended the three-day tournament in 51st place. The freshman notched a score of 230 (+17).
Mila Jurine rounded out the Knights with a 79 (+8) with two birdies on the back nine. Jurine ended the tournament with a final score of 234 (+21).
The Knights will find out its regional selection on Wednesday, April 23 at 1 p.m. This year’s regional sites include Charlottesville, Va., Columbus, Ohio, Golf Canyon, Ariz., Lexington, Ky., Lubbock, Texas and Norman, Oklahoma.
