The Black and Gold will participate in two preseason exhibition matches to prepare for the fall campaign, beginning with a home tilt against Jacksonville University on Aug. 2. NON-CONFERENCE SCHEDULE
UCF’s non-conference schedule features seven fixtures, including five in-state opponents and two 2024 NCAA Tournament teams en route to Big 12 play.
Game One at UAB – Aug. 14, 2025
The Knights will open their fall 2025 account on the road as they travel to Birmingham, Alabama to meet the UAB Blazers on Aug.14.
Last season, UAB put together a 7-5-5 (4-2-4 AAC) record, tying No. 15/11 Memphis 0-0 in its only ranked match of the season.
Three UAB players earned American Athletic Conference postseason honors in 2024, with Abbey Burns claiming a place on the all-conference first team, Jette Zimmer earning recognition on the second Team, and Louise Larson cementing a spot on the all-freshman team.
The Knights have faced the Blazers 11 times, most recently earning a 6–0 win at UAB’s West Campus Field in 2012.
Game Two vs. Florida Atlantic – Aug. 17, 2025
Three days later, the UCF Soccer Complex will host its first competitive women’s soccer action of 2025 as UCF welcomes the Florida Atlantic Owls on Aug. 17.
In 2024, FAU (3-11-4, 2-6-2 AAC) saw two players named to the American Athletic Conference’s postseason teams in Jodi Smith (second team) and Michelle Horan (third team). Smith also signed a professional contract with Montreal Roses FC, one of six Canadian clubs participating in the inaugural season of the Northern Super League, Canada’s first professional women’s soccer league.
The Knights and Owls will reunite for another early-season matchup after meeting last year in Boca Raton, where UCF matched its highest scoring output of the 2024 campaign in a 5-1 victory.
Game Three vs. South Florida – Aug. 21, 2025
The Black and Gold will play against their second consecutive in-state opponent on Aug. 21 with a midweek rivalry match against the South Florida Bulls.
USF posted a 12-2-5 (6-1-3 AAC) record in 2024 as the Bulls reached the semifinals of the AAC Tournament for the second time in the last three seasons.
UCF enters the series against USF with a 13-6-1 all-time advantage, having most recently added to the win column in 2023 with a 2–0 victory in American Athletic Conference play.
Game Four vs. LSU – Aug. 24, 2025
On Aug. 24, the Knights will conclude their their-game homestand as they welcome the LSU Tigers in their first of two SEC matchups of the season and their first against a 2024 NCAA Tournament opponent.
LSU went an even 9-9-3 (3-5-2 SEC) last season and qualifed for the first round of the NCAA Tournament for the fourth successive year before falling 2-1 to Big 12 foe Texas Tech.
Both UCF and LSU have an even 1-1-2 record in their all-time series against one another, most recently sharing the spoils in a 1-1 affair in 2022 at LSU Soccer Stadium.
Game Five at Florida – Aug. 28, 2025
UCF will play back-to-back SEC opponents for the second year running as the Black and Gold will travel to Gainesville to take on the Florida Gators on Aug. 28.
Florida concluded 2024 with a 4-8-6 (1-7-2 SEC) record, highlighted by a 2-1 victory over No. 22 Texas on Oct. 4, with SEC All-Freshman Team selection Vera Blom providing an assist.
The Knights will look to improve upon their 9-14-1 program record against the Gators and post their first win in the series since 2022, when UCF defeated the Gators 3-0 in Orlando.
Game Six vs. FIU – Sept. 4, 2025
The month of September will begin with UCF hosting a familiar foe in Florida International on Sept. 4. The occasion will mark the 36th meeting between the two teams, the most in UCF’s program history against any opponent.
The Panthers finished the 2024 season with a 13-5-2 record (6-1-2 Conference USA), capturing their first-ever Conference USA Regular Season Championship, inaugural Conference USA Postseason Championship and earning their third NCAA Tournament berth, which was also their first since 2011.
UCF holds a 29-4-2 all-time series lead over FIU, with the most recent meeting in 2016 resulting in a 5–0 Black and Gold victory.

The Knights will look to overcome a Mountaineers side that collected a 12-5-3 (8-2-1 Big 12) record in the previous campaign, highlighted by their 23rd NCAA Tournament Appearance in the last 25 seasons.
The Knights will look to bring the all-time series back to even, with the most recent result (1-0 WVU, 2024) leaving it with a 2-3-0 series record.
Game Nine at Arizona – Sept. 25, 2025
UCF will begin a two-game road trip in Arizona as it travels to Tucson to take on the Arizona Wildcats on Sept. 25 at Mulcahy Stadium.
Arizona went 11-6–2 (6-4-1 Big 12) a season ago, with Wildcats midfielder Gianna Christiansen, forward Nicole Dallin, and defender Aranda Hurge earning All-Big 12 Second Team honors.
The Knights will look to improve upon their 1-1-1 series record against the Wildcats as the series was evened up during the teams’ last meeting in 2024, when Arizona took the match in a 3-2 decision.
Game 10 at Arizona State – Sept. 28, 2025
The Black and Gold will continue their trip in the Grand Canyon State as they move cities to Tempe three days later to meet the Arizona State Sun Devils on Sept. 28.

The Black and Gold will look to secure its first win in program history against the Cougars (0-2-0), as BYU handed UCF a pair of losses in the first two editions in 2023.
Game 18 at Texas Tech – Oct. 30, 2025
The Knights will wrap up the 2025 regular season with an away contest in Lubbock, Texas at Texas Tech on Oct. 30.
Texas Tech will perhaps be the toughest competition of the regular season, as the Red Raiders (15-5-2, 8-1-2 Big 12) placed second in both the Big 12 Conference regular season standings and postseason tournament, as well as qualifying for the second round of the NCAA Tournament, falling only to Final Four opposition Duke.
