Women's Golf in Third Place Following Two Rounds at Gator's Invitational

GAINESVILLE, Fla.- Due to pending inclement weather, the UCF women’s golf team concluded both rounds one and two of play on Friday at the Gators Invitational. The Black and Gold finished the rounds in third place with a team score of 569 (+9)

Round 1

Pimpisa "Sandwich" Sisutham led the Black and Gold finishing the round four under par with a score of 66. The junior led with a solid front nine carding four birdies, following up with two more on the back nine. 

Mila Jurine was the next Knight on the leaderboard, completing round one with three birdies and going one under par with a score of 69.

One Kashima and Jamie Camero both ended the first round of play two-over par with a score of 72. Camero carded four birdies on the round.

Molly Smith ended round one with a score of 75 (+5)

Competing as an individual, Katie Poots finished the first round two over par with a score of 72.

Round 2

Smith completed round two just with a score of 71 (+1), recording three birdies to end the day as the top finisher for the Black and Gold. Smith is tied for second with an overall score with an overall score of 137 (-3). 

Smith and Camero each ended the round with a score of 71 as well with Smith recording three birdies and Camero putting up four of her own. Camero ended the day in a tie for 17th at an overall score of 143 (+3). Smith finished the day with a score of 146 (+6) and tied for 31st. 

Jurine finished up round two seven-over par at 77, to conclude the day tied in 31st with a score of 146 (+6).

Kashima ended round two with a score of 77 (+7), ending round one and two with a score of 149 (+9) in a tie for 47th.

Individual Poots carded two birds in the second round and went one-over par with a score of 71. Poots has an overall score of 143 (+3) and is tied for 17th.

UCF will conclude play on Saturday, March 8 with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
